Arbee Ceramics is one person — Robin Boogaerts — making pots and selling tea from Chiang Mai, Thailand. This page explains what happens to your information when you visit this site, write to me, buy tea, or join the email list. It is written plainly rather than in legal language, and it describes what the site actually does.
What is collected
Nothing, if you just read. This site sets no tracking cookies and runs no advertising or social-media trackers. Visitor numbers come from Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without building a profile of you.
Your email address, if you join the list. The signup form asks for a name and an email address, and nothing else. These go to MailerLite, which sends the newsletter. You can leave at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email, and that removes you immediately.
What you write, if you use the contact form. Your name, email address and message are passed through Formspree, which forwards them to my inbox. They are kept as ordinary email.
Your order details, if you buy tea. The tea cart is kept in your own browser (local storage, not a cookie) and is not sent anywhere until you check out. Checkout happens on Stripe's payment page, which asks for your name, email address, phone number and shipping address, plus your card details. I see the order and where to ship it; your card details go to Stripe and never touch this site or reach me.
Who else sees it
Only the services this site is built on, and only the part each one needs:
- Cloudflare — hosts the site and serves the pages, and provides the cookieless analytics described above.
- MailerLite — stores the mailing list and sends the newsletter.
- Formspree — relays contact-form messages to my inbox.
- Stripe — takes payment for tea orders. Checkout happens on Stripe's own page, under Stripe's privacy policy, and Stripe keeps a record of each payment.
- Etsy — where the ceramics are sold. Once you follow a "Buy on Etsy" link you are on Etsy's site, under Etsy's own privacy policy, and your order details stay with them.
Nothing is sold, rented, or handed to advertisers.
How long it is kept
Mailing-list entries stay until you unsubscribe or ask to be deleted. Contact-form messages stay in my inbox as long as any ordinary email correspondence would. Tea order records are kept as long as needed to ship the order, handle any problem with it, and keep the business's accounts.
Your choices
You can ask me what I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, and I will do it. The quickest route for the mailing list is the unsubscribe link in any email; for anything else, write to robin@arbeeceramics.com. Depending on where you live, data-protection law — Thailand's PDPA, the GDPR in Europe — may give you these rights formally. You are welcome to them either way.
Changes
If what the site does with your information changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top moves.
