About the piece
This is a side handle, Japanese style teapot. You can drop your leaves inside without a seperate filter since the pot has one already. The blue glaze dripped without running all the way to the bottom, which is very hard to predict, making this piece a precious little success.
Thin, light and easy to manipulate.
Why it's a second
The glaze dripped a little too much here and the pot stuck to the shelf. I was able to gring down the bottom without functional damage.
About my work
I make every piece by hand in my small Chiang Mai studio. My work is shaped by my love for tea and my studies of oriental teawares. From working in a teahouse in Montreal to sourcing teas throughout northern Thailand, I have developped a unique style in my ceramics: one of a tea enthusiast. Each pot is made to be used, balancing function with a creative spin.
