About these pieces
This Dark Matter series features a black clay heavy in grog. It is rough in surface yet delicate in shape. The shapes and glazes of this series take inspiration from constructivism and brutalism. Tulip shaped cups, suitable for any tea.
About my work
I make every piece by hand in my small Chiang Mai studio. My work is shaped by my love for tea and my studies of oriental teawares. From working in a teahouse in Montreal to sourcing teas throughout northern Thailand, I have developped a unique style in my ceramics: one of a tea enthusiast. Each pot is made to be used, balancing function with a creative spin.
