About the piece
A Hohin is a traditional Japanese teaware, meant to infuse tea leaves. The little teeth/ holes act as a filter. It is easy to use and easy to clean. The inside is glazed with a clear shiny transparent. This one has a nice filter and little pads for the fingers.
About my work
I make every piece by hand in my small Chiang Mai studio. My work is shaped by my love for tea and my studies of oriental teawares. From working in a teahouse in Montreal to sourcing teas throughout northern Thailand, I have developped a unique style in my ceramics: one of a tea enthusiast. Each pot is made to be used, balancing function with a creative spin.
