About the piece
This Dark Matter series features a black clay heavy with grog. This created the rough texture on the outside. I used a combination of black to gold glazes with wooden ashes. Rough, yet delicate.
About my work
I make every piece by hand in my small Chiang Mai studio. My work is shaped by my love for tea and my studies of oriental teawares. From working in a teahouse in Montreal to sourcing teas throughout northern Thailand, I have developped a unique style in my ceramics: one of a tea enthusiast. Each pot is made to be used, balancing function with a creative spin.
