About the piece
A "tea boat" is used in the Chinese tea ritual. Your teapot sits on top and the bowl receives the excess water, or the first infusion. It allows for a bit of a mess, or even pouring hot water on the teapot to heat it up, while keeping the table clean.
It also has an aesthetic function and acts as a "présentoir" for your teapot.
Why it's a second:
It was inteded to be almost flat on top, but unfortunately it caved in too much and can only hold straight one teapot rather than a full set.
About my work
I make every piece by hand in my small Chiang Mai studio. My work is shaped by my love for tea and my studies of oriental teawares. From working in a teahouse in Montreal to sourcing teas throughout northern Thailand, I have developped a unique style in my ceramics: one of a tea enthusiast. Each pot is made to be used, balancing function with a creative spin.

Your teaware will be carefully packed using recyclable materials whenever possible and shipped from Thailand with tracking.
